But I Digress...

This makes me happy.

Which is good, because pretty much everything else has me with phasers set on rage lately.

Snow day!

It's been years since I woke up on a winter morning, looked out my bedroom window, and saw the world coated in white. Austin, for reasons meteorological or geolocial or something else I don't feel like looking up right now, does not get snow. Occasionally ice, but none of the white and fluffy. Except this morning, when near everything outside is covered with white. Yay snow!

Alright. I'm not too lazy to Google. The last time Austin had any significant snowfall of this nature was nearly 20 years ago.

Snow!

Unfortunately it's already melting. But I took pictures. I made a snowball, tested my aim on a fence, and determined that yes, I still have my Midwest born-and-bred snowball fighting skills.

Beware! I've got snow!

One of my favorite commercials ever. Sadly, not the most effective commercial ever because I never remember who it's actually advertising.

Cats.

Some things are very crappy, and I won't speak of them. Other things that are good are on the horizon, and I can't quite speak of those yet either. Still other things are keeping me mega-busy. Which makes for lots of radio silence, for which I apologize.

I am still here. I am still happy and healthy. I have a dozen roses sitting next to me, courtesy of my wonderful and romantic boyfriend. I can smell their scent wafting across my desk while I work and it keeps making me smile. The rolling balls of fur at home are still round and purring. And soon, Keith and I will be heading to London to meet the amazing Zoe and congratulate her awesome parents in person.

And even writing this has reminded me that the good things outnumber the bad - which makes everything better.

In case I'm not back - Happy Valentine's Day to all. Join the crowd - be my Valentine! :)
